Prof. Tobias Kaufmann was interviewed on the Podcast series “Let’s Talk About Women” to explain the basics of computational methods with concrete examples of his own work, providing a first glimpse into the computational world.

Kaufmann has been awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant for his research project “HealthyMom: Modeling and maintaining maternal mental health”. The project seeks to investigate brain plasticity after pregnancy loss, revealing how various factors together affect brain structure and function and targeting an improved understanding of the emergence and manifestation of mental disorders in the brain of the women.

The German Association for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics (DGPPN) awarded Tobias Kaufmann with its 2021 research award. The award ceremony took place Nov 24th during the DGPPN Congress in Berlin.

PI Kaufmann was granted approx. 1.2 million euro to study the genetics underlying brain structure and function and the link to psychiatric disorders.
